Our team is fully equipped with knowledge and skills in determining concrete uniformity, which is most reliably achieved by taking measurements on a regular grid on a member, or at comparable locations on similar members. We use ultrasonic pulse velocity measurement, which is quick to use and reflects the properties of the interior of a body of concrete. The pulse velocity method is suitable for the study of homogeneity of concrete, which is a relative assessment of its quality.
We have yielded a vast experience in using the Rebound Hammer Test. This is primarily used to determine the surface hardness of the concrete. It works on the principle that the height of rebound of an elastic mass depends on the hardness of the surface against which the mass impinges. The higher the rebound of the elastic mass, the higher the surface hardness and correspondingly, the strength of concrete.
While rebars strengthen the concrete and enables certain constructions, drilling through those reinforcing bars can cause unnecessary costs and danger. Hitting a rebar while boring into the reinforced concrete can destroy the drilling instrument and can severely weaken the concrete structure. We offer rebar detection services and promote utmost safety. Our equipment has a unique real-time visualization mechanism, allowing the Inspector to actually see the location of rebars beneath the concrete surface.
